Grade III officer caught red-handed accepting bribe

A regional officer at the Pollution Control Board office was caught red-handed today for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Ahmednagar district, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.

The class III officer Prabhu Sopanrao Hadbe was nabbed in a trap laid by ACB officials today at Savedi village in Ahmednagar district while accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant for forwarding the license renewal file of his milk dairy to the Nashik office, officials said in a statement here.

The complainant had informed ACB officials, who laid a trap and caught him red-handed.

In another trap by the ACB sleuths, an agriculture official at Panchayat Samiti office at Niphad taluka of Nashik district was caught red-handed today for accepting bribe of Rs 7,000.
