Grade Separator proj to be completed by Dec or Jan next: Wahi

Standing Committee Chairman of North Delhi Municipal Corporation Pravesh Wahi today inspected progress of under-construction Rani Jhansi Grade Separator and said it would be completed either by December end or January next year.

He inspected work at casting yard at Rajpur where construction parts of the separator are being moulded.

Wahi directed the Engineering Department about quality of construction material and to deploy more workers for speedy completion of the project.

"He expressed satisfaction over the pace with which the work of Grade Separator is being carried out and said that its work would be completed either by December end or January next year," NDMC said in a statement.
 

It would be opened for vehicular movement towards ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, Mori Gate, other areas, for people, particularly of Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Gulabi Bagh, Kamla Nagar, Sadar Bazar, Paharganj, Azad Market and surrounding areas.

He also sought information about the parts of the grade separator which are to be constructed by Railways.

He also took stock of the construction work at Azad Market Chowk and directed that the debris dug out of the beam be removed.
