Gram, arhar recover on stockists' buying

Prices of gram and arhar went up Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on revival of buying by stockists.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists, driven by pick up in demand from retailers amid restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly attributed the recovery in gram and arhar prices.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to 5,050-5,400, Rs 5,500-5,900 and Rs 5,900-6,000 per quintal respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also went up by Rs 100 and Rs 200 to Rs 3,900 and Rs 5,700-7,600 per quintal, respectively.
