Gram, arhar rise on stockists' buying

Prices of gram and arhar rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on fresh buying by stockists following uptick in demand from retailers.

Traders said that stockists' buying on the back of pick up in demand from retailers, mainly led to rise in gram and arhar prices.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-6,100, Rs 5,800- 6,200 and Rs 6,200-6,300 per quintal respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also moved up by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,750 and Rs 5,800-7,600 per quintal respectively.
