Gram, its dal eases on adequate supply

In restricted activity, gram and its dal prices eased up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today owing to slackened demand against improved supplies from producing belts.

However, other pulses moved in a tight range on little doing and settled at last levels.

Marketmen said increased supplies from producing belts against subdued demand from retailers mainly kept pressure on gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram edged to Rs 4,450-5,350 from previous level of Rs 4,450-5,450 per quintal.

Its dal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,800-5,000 and Rs 4,900-5,200 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 7,500-8,000, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 8,400-8,600, urad best Rs 8,600-9,200, Dhoya Rs 9,000-9,300, Moong Rs 7,600-8,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 8,400-8,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 8,400-8,700 and best quality Rs 9,200-9,300.

Masoor small Rs 6,300-6,500, bold Rs 6,300-6,600, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,400-7,500, best quality Rs 7,500-7,600, Malka local Rs 7,900-8,100, best Rs 8,100-8,200, Moth Rs 6,200-6,500, Arhar Rs 6,800-6,850, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,150-8,450.
