Gram, its dal extend slide, down Rs 500 per quintal

Gram and its dal prices continued its slide for the third day and plunged by another Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased supplies against muted demand.

Kabli gram followed suit and finished lower.

Traders said besides ample stocks in the market on improved supplies against drop in demand mainly kept pressure on gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality remained under selling pressure and tumbled further by Rs 500 each to Rs 7,500-7,700, Rs 8,300-8,600 and Rs 8,700-8,800 per quintal, respectively.

Kabuli gram small variety also drifted lower by Rs 100 to Rs 9,200-9,700 per quintal.
 

Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani followed suit and quoted lower at Rs 4,000 each instead of Rs 4,100 each per 35 kg bag.

Urad and its dal chilka too declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,200-7,200 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,600-7,100 and Rs 7,000-7,300 per quintal.

Urad Rs 6,200-7,200, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,500-6,600, Urad best Rs 6,600-7,100, Dhoya Rs 7,000-7,300, Moong Rs 5,300-5,500, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,800-6,000, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,400-6,900 and best quality Rs 6,900-7,100.

Masoor small Rs 4,950-5,050, bold Rs 5,000-5,150, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,400-5,900, best quality Rs 5,500-6,000, Malka local Rs 6,200-6,400, best Rs 6,300-6,500, Moth Rs 3,600-4,000, Arhar Rs 5,050, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,900-8,700.

Gram Rs 7,500-7,700, Gram dal (local) Rs 8,300-8,600, best quality Rs 8,700-8,800, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 4,000, Rajdhani Rs 4,000, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,500-9,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,200-9,700, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
