Gram, its dal plunge upto Rs 600qtl on ample supply

Gram and its dal prices tumbled by up to Rs 600 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today largely on sufficient stocks on improved supplies from producing belts against fall in demand.

Traders said ample stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions against fall in demand mainly pulled down gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram slipped to Rs 6,800-7,200 against last close of Rs 7,400-7,600 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality followed suit and traded lower by Rs 500 each to Rs 7,700-8,000 and Rs 8,100-8,200 per quintal respectively.

Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani followed suit and quoted lower at Rs 3,500 each instead of Rs 3,800 each per 35 kg.

Urad Rs 6,100-7,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,400-6,500, Urad best Rs 6,500-7,000, Dhoya Rs 6,900-7,200, Moong Rs 5,300-5,500, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,800-6,000, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,400-6,900 and best quality Rs 6,900-7,100.

Masoor small Rs 4,900-5,000, bold Rs 4,950-5,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,300-5,800, best quality Rs 5,400-5,900, Malka local Rs 6,100-6,300, best Rs 6,200-6,400, Moth Rs 3,600-4,000, Arhar Rs 4,850, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,700-8,500.

Gram Rs 6,800-7,200, Gram dal (local) Rs 7,700-8,000, best quality Rs 8,100-8,200, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,500, Rajdhani Rs 3,500, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,500-9,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,000-9,500, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
