Gram, its dal rise on buying by stockists

Gram and its dal prices firmed up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased buying by stockists amid pick-up in demand from retailers.

However, other pulses moved in a tight range on little doing and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased buying by stockists following pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to a rise in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram edged up by Rs 75 to Rs 3,100-3,850 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were also enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-3,800 and Rs 3,700-4,000 per quintal, respectively.
 

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 5,100-6,200, Urad Chilka (local) 6,500-6,700, best 6,700-7,300, Dhoya 7,100-7,500, Moong 6,600-7,600, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,500-8,000, Moong Dhoya local 7,500-7,800 and best quality 8,300-8,400.

Masoor small 5,800-5,950, bold 5,750-5,950, Dal Masoor local 6,700-6,800, best quality 6,800-6,900, Malka local 6,600-6,900, best 6,800-6,900, Moth 5,250-5,550, Arhar 4,900- 5,000, Dal Arhar Dara 6,200-6,500.

Gram 3,100-3,850, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,700-4,000, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,430, Rajdhani 1,430, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-6,000, Kabli Gram small 3,500-6,200, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,750-2,800 and green 2,850-2,950.
