Gram and its dal prices firmed up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased buying by stockists amid pick-up in demand from retailers.
However, other pulses moved in a tight range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased buying by stockists following pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to a rise in gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram edged up by Rs 75 to Rs 3,100-3,850 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were also enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-3,800 and Rs 3,700-4,000 per quintal, respectively.
