Gram, its dal strengthen on persistent buying

Gram and its dal prices advanced by Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on persistent buying by stockists.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range and settled at previous levels.

Traders said increased buying by stockists against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly kept gram and its dal prices higher.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality rose further by Rs 500 each to Rs 9,000-9,250, Rs 9,400-9,600 and Rs 9,700-9,800 per quintal respectively.

Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted higher at Rs 3,800 each instead of Rs 3,380 each per 35 kg.

Urad Rs 7,500-9,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 8,000-8,100, Urad best Rs 8,100-8,600, Dhoya Rs 8,500-8,800, Moong Rs 4,500-5,200, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,000-5,400, Moong Dhoya local Rs 5,600-6,100 and best quality Rs 6,100-6,300.

Masoor small Rs 5,600-5,800, bold Rs 5,650-5,850, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,050-6,550, best quality Rs 6,150-6,650, Malka local Rs 6,800-7,100, best Rs 6,900-7,200, Moth Rs 3,800-4,100, Arhar Rs 7,150, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 9,500-11,200.

Gram Rs 9,000-9,250, Gram dal (local) Rs 9,400-9,600, best quality Rs 9,700-9,800, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,800, Rajdhani Rs 3,800, Rajma Chitra Rs 5,500-6,450, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,000-10,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,900-2,925 and green Rs 3,100-3,200.
