Gram, its dal weaken on easing demand

Gram and its dal prices drifted down by upto Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.

Traders said fall in demand from retailers and dal mills against adequate stocks position, mainly helped gram and its dal prices to trade lower.

In the national capital, gram shed Rs 50 to Rs 3,900-4,000, while its dal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,000-4,400 and Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses' rates (in Rs per quintal): Urad Rs 3,800-5,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 4,700-4,800, Urad best Rs 4,800-5,300, Dhoya Rs 5,200-5,400, Moong Rs 4,600-5,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,400-5,600, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,000-6,500 and best quality Rs 6,500-6,700.
 

Masoor small Rs 3,500-3,650, bold Rs 3,600-3,750, Dal Masoor local Rs 3,700-4,100, best quality Rs 3,800-4,200, Malka local Rs 4,000-4,200, best Rs 4,100-4,400, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 4,200 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,100-8,000.

Gram Rs 3,900-4,000, Gram dal (local) Rs 4,000-4,400, best quality Rs 4,400-4,500, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,000, Rajdhani Rs 2,000, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,000-8,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 5,000-6,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 3,400-3,600, Peas white Rs 2,825-2,850 and green Rs 2,925-3,025.
