Gram, its dal weaken on low demand

Gram and its dal prices drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today on fall in demand at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position.

However, other pulses continued to trade in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said fall in demand from retailers at existing higher levels mainly led to decline in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 9,600-10,000, Rs 10,400-10,700 and Rs 10,800-10,900 per quintal respectively.
