Prices of gram and kabli gram firmed up at the wholesale pulses market today following upsurge in demand against tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses continued to move in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said upsurge in demand against tight supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in gram and kabli gram prices.
In the national capital, gram moved up to Rs 3,750-4,400 from previous Rs 3,400-4,250 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality gained Rs 100 each to Rs 4,200-4,400 and Rs 4,300-4,600 per quintal, respectively.
Kabli gram small variety were also seen in demand and went up to Rs 4,000-6,500 from previous level of Rs 4,000-6,200 per quintal.
