In a mixed pattern of trading, prices of gram and kabli gram surged by up to Rs 600 per quintal at the wholesale market today on speculative buying.
However, masoor and urad drifted lower on lack of buying support against sufficient stocks position.
Traders said speculative buying activity by traders amid paucity of ready stocks in the market mainly helped gram and kabli gram prices to trade sharply higher.
