A gram sachiv was arrested today for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district, an official said.
Acting on a complaint lodged by Surendra Kumhar, officials at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested the accused, identified as Sukhpal Singh, said ASP Rajendra Dhindhoriya.
According to the complainant, Singh had demanded the bribe from him for mutating a piece of land belonging to his father in his name, Dhindhoriya said.
A case was registered against Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act, he said.
