Haryana'a first 'Grameen Nayalaya' (rural court) at block level was today inaugurated at Rania town in the district.

The court, which would function twice a week, was inaugurated by Justice S K Mittal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

He also laid the foundation stone of alternate dispute redressal centre in the district.

"If the facilities like alternative dispute redressal centres and facilities being provided by legal services authority are popularised, it would be possible to ensure delivery of justice in less time," Mittal told reporters here after the inauguration ceremony.

Mittal, who is also the executive chairman of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, said the cases in such rural courts would be disposed off within six months.
