Drug firm Granules India today reported 36.55 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 38.96 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a net profit after taxes and share of profit/(loss) of the associates of Rs 28.53 crore for the same period a year ago, Granules India said in a filing to BSE.
Consolidated total income from operations also rose to Rs 343.73 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 322.56 crore in the year-ago period.

"Our top-line growth was slightly subdued but we have once again demonstrated our strength in operational excellence with improved bottom line," Granules India Chairman & MD Krishna Prasad Chigurupati said.
In a separate filing, Granules India said its board has approved interim dividend of 20 paise per share of face value of Re 1 each.
Shares of Granules India today closed at Rs 134.55 per scrip on BSE, down 3.55 per cent from its previous close.
