Days after losing Telecom Ministry, Information Technology Minister Ravishankar Prasad today said he was "grateful" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not disrupting him from IT portfolio.

"Some disruption happens not only in the field of internet and Internet Of Things (IoT), but also happens in politics too..." he told reporters here at an event on Internet Of Things (IoT) organised by NASSCOM here.

"I am grateful to the Prime Minister for giving a chance to handle the sensitive portfolio of law and justice, and equallygrateful to him that he did not disrupt me from IT andelectronics. That was more important, though we all acknowledge PM's right," he said.

The comment comes in the wake of surprise changes in the portfolios of several ministers carried out during the recent Cabinet reshuffle.
