Greaves Cotton posts Rs 41.2 cr PAT for Apr-Jun

Engineering firm Greaves Cotton today reported 7 per cent rise in profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 41.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 38.5 crore for the corresponding period last year, Greaves Cotton said in a statement.

Total revenue during the period stood at Rs 454 crore as against Rs 445 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

"Sharp focus on growth sectors of the business and improvement in operational efficiencies helped the company deliver strong performance and growth on PAT, in spite of the tough challenges," Greaves Cotton MD and CEO Nagesh Basavanhalli said.
 

The stock closed 1.06 per cent down at Rs 158.85 on BSE.
