This drive has already been launched in state schools, in order to imbibe the spirit of conservation of plants in students, state education minister Sikandar Singh Maluka said.
Besides this, the drive would also make them responsible for their collective duties and contribution to society.
The minister said that the state forest department had conceded that the District Forest Officers (DFOs) would provide the saplings to be planted.
