Kate Milfordis' bestselling mystery novel "Greenglass House" is being eyed as a possible new franchise for Paramount Pictures.
The studio is in final negotiations to scoop up the middle grade story that won the Edgar Award for Best Juvenile Mystery, reported Deadline.
The story centres around a 12-year-old innkeeper's adopted son Milo, who realises that guests checking into his father's inn all have a connection to the house.

The book, which was published in August 2014, became a finalist for a National Book Award.
