Greenply Industries today reported a 14.74% increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 26.70 crore for the first quarter of 2015-16.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 23.27 crore in the same quarter of 2014-15, the company said in a BSE filing.
Net sales in the quarter under review went up by 15.05% to Rs 380.74 crore as against Rs 330.92 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Overall expenses in the quarter stood at Rs 336.97 crore, an increase of 13.44% compared with Rs 297.04 crore in the same period, a year ago.
Shares of Greenply Industries were trading at Rs 990.00 apiece during the afternoon trade on BSE, up 3.31% from its previous close.
