Grenades lobbed by militants in Assam, 1 injured.

Two grenades were lobbed by suspected NDFB (Songbijit) militants at the Panbari camp of 18 Mahar Regiment in Assam's Chirang district today injuring an Army Radio Operator, a police spokesman said.

The grenades were suspected to have been lobbed from a school campus adjacent to the army camp, the spokesman said.

The unexploded grenades were later destroyed by the disposal team of Army, he said.

The injured Army Radio Operator was shifted to Guwahati for better medical treatment.

Investigation is on.
