The police said the groom Prabir De was declared brought dead at a local hospital after he sustained bullet injury at his wedding at about 11.30 pm.
Those who were present at the wedding reception caught the attacker named Rajib and beat him severely.
He also died in a nearby hospital later, police said.
The police have launched an investigation behind the attack on Prabir De.
