Prices of groundnut and cottonseed oils fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly led to decline in groundnut and cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil declined by Rs 50 to Rs 9,100 per quintal, while groundnut solvent refined shed Rs 30 at Rs 1,700-1,750 per tin.
Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil also eased by Rs 50 to Rs 5,850 per quintal.
