Groundnut, mustard oils up on retailers' demand

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils were up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today mostly supported by rising demand from retailers.

However, non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said pick up in demand from retailers in view of marriage season mainly led to the rise in groundnut and mustard oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,900 and Rs 7,300 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
 

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 960-1,130.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,300, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,220- 1,270, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,270-1,370, sesame mill delivery 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,100, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,850, Palmolein (RBD) 5,650, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,450 and Coconut (per tin) 2,450-2,475.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,150, Castor 9,600-9,700, Neem 5,350-5,450.
