Groundnut oil declines on poor demand

Groundnut oil prices declined at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to lower demand from stockists and retailers.

While, refined palmolein and linseeds oil ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Meanwhile, castor bold and castoroil commercial prices also eased in lacklustre demand from shippers and soap industries.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil slipped by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 1,000 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,020 and refined palmolein closed unaltered at Rs 488 per 10kg.

Moving to non-edible segment, casotorseeds bold slid by Rs 5 per 100 kg to Rs 3,950 as against to Rs 3,955 yesterday and castor oil commercial edged-down by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 820.
 

Linseed oil ended unchanged at Rs 775 per 10 kg.
