Groundnut oil prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly led to the decline in groundnut oil prices.
