Groundnut oil prices firmed up in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on rising demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, refined palmolein, linseed oil, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
The castorseeds futures rates for today were unavailable.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil gained Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 790 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 785. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 568 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil were unaltered at Rs 4,100 per 100 kg, Rs 850 and Rs 840 per 10 kg, respectively.
