Groundnut oil prices gained further in an otherwise lacklustre trade at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
Linseed oils strengthened on firm offtake from paints and allied industries.
Meanwhile, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold and castor oil commerical ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil climbed by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 780 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 775. However, refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 565 per 10kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, Linseed oil advanced by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 745 as against Rs 740 yesterday. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial closed unaltered at Rs 4,250 per 100kg and Rs 880 per 10kg, respectively.
