Groundnut oil prices gained modestly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds market here today on sustained demand from stockist and retailers.
While, refined palmolein eased further due to lower retail demand.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slipped following lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil held steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
The castorseeds futures rates are unavailable.
In the edible section, Groundnut oil climbed by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 775 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 770. However, refined palmolein moved-down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 630 as against Rs 633 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible segment, castoroseeds bold declined by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,015 from Rs 4,025 and castoroil commercial edged-down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 833 as against Rs 835 yesterday.
Linseeds oil ruled unchanged at Rs 850 per 10kg.
