Groundnut oil inches up on demand from retailers

Groundnut oil prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on account of increased demand from retailers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased demand from retailers helped groundnut oil prices to trade higher.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil rose by Rs 50 to Rs 7,300 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,300, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,260-1,360, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,100-1,150, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,250,sesame mill delivery 9,000 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,900, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,600, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,550, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,150, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,200, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,000 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,780.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,450-9,550, Neem 5,300-5,400.
