Groundnut oil moves up on retailers demand

Groundnut oil prices moved up by Rs 50 per quintal on renewed demand from retailers in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.

However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased demand from retailers led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 7,250 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,000-1,200.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,350, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,200, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225- 1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,200, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,300, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,000, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,100, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,500 and Coconut (per tin) 2,700-2,775.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,850, Castor 9,600-9,700, Neem 5,350-5,450.
