Groundnut oil prices slip on lower demand

Groundnut oil prices today slipped at Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on lower demand from stockists and retailers amid fresh arrivals from producing belts.

Refined palmolein eased further due to lack of retail offtake.

In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered modestly on fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseeds oil ruled stable in the absence of any major buying.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 830 from Wednesday's close of Rs 850 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 495 as against Rs 498 yesterday.
 

Moving to non-edible segment, castor seeds bold climbed by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 4,165 from Rs 4,150 and castor oil commercial went down to Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 863 as against Rs 860 previously.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 755 per 10kg.
