Groundnut oil rebounds on renewed offtake

Groundnut oil prices rose modestly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on emergence of buying from stockists and retailers ahead of festivities.

However, refined palmolein eased on poor offtake amid adequate stock positions.

Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial both declined further owing to reduced demand from consuming industries.

Linseed oil maintained its stable trend on lack of buying support.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil spurted by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 765 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 760, while refined palmolein moved down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 485 as against Rs 488.
 

Turning to non-edible, castorseeds bold slipped by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,100 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,125 and castor oil commercial was down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 850 compared to Rs 855 previously.

Linseed oil finished unaltered at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
