Groundnut oil prices recovered modestly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockist and retailers.
Refined palmolein softened following lower offtake from retailers despite bullish Malaysian cues.
In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial bounced back on fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, linseedoil held steady in the absence of any largescale buying.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 765 from last Monday's closing level of Rs 760, however, refined palmolein inched down by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 637.
Moving to non-edible segment, castoroseeds bold climbed by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,950 from overnight close of Rs 3,900 and castor oil commercial went up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 820 as against Rs 810 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 845 per 10 kg.
