Groundnut oil recovered smartly in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on sustained demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts.

While, refined palmolein eased marginally owing to lack of retail demand.

In the non-edible section, castorseed bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any largescale buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil shot up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 850 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 840.

However, refined palmolein edged down by a Re per kg to Rs 477 as against Rs 478 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,200 per 100 kg, Rs 870 and Rs 750 per 10 kg, respectively.
