Groundnut oil recovers on renewed demand

However, refined palmolein eased on lower retail buying.

In non-edible segment, linseed oil prices ruled steady in the absence of any major buying.

Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial price fell due to subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In futures, castorseeds recovered smartly following speculative offtake on the back of fresh export enquiries.

In the edible segment, groundnutoil moved up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,190 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,180. However, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 4 to Rs 622 per 10 kg from Rs 626.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 3,775 per 100 kg from 3,850 and Castor oil commerical slid by Rs 15 to Rs 785 per 10 kg. Linseed oil ruled stable at Rs 830 per 10 kg.

 

Turning to futures, castorseeds for the Sept contract opened higher at Rs 4,045 and advanced further to Rs 4,110 before ending at Rs 4098 as compared to Rs 4,025 yesterday, showing a gain of Rs 73 per tonne.
