Groundnut oil prices rose at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following consistent demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased owing to sluggish demand from soaps and shippers industries.
Also, refined palmolein and linseed oil held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activities.
In the edible oils section, groundnut oil moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 830 from Thursday's close Rs 825 and refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 590 per 10 kg.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold edged down by Rs 5 per 100kg to Rs 4,805 as against Rs 4,810 yesterday and castoroil commercial softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 991.
Linseed oil remained unaltered at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
