In restricted activity, groundnut oil prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said besides pick-up in demand from retailers, tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.
