Groundnut oil slips on subdued demand, ample arrivals

Groundnut oil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers on the back of ample arrivals from producing belts.

While, refined palmolein rebounded marginally owing to mild retail offtake.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial declined further following reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any large scale buying activity.

In the edible section, groundnut oil dropped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 955 from Monday's closing level of Rs 965.

However, refined palmolein edged up by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 506.
 

Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold fell by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,975 from Rs 4,000 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 825 compared to Rs 830 yesterday.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 785 per 10 kg.
