Groundnut oil prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market in the national capital today owing to slackened demand.
However, palmolein edged up on scattered enquiries.
Linseed oil in the non-edible section eased on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said easing demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 100 to Rs 9,600 per quintal.

On the other hand, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils recovered by Rs 50 each at Rs 6,650 and Rs 6,700 per quintal, respectively.
In the non-edible section, linseed oil also traded lower by Rs 100 to Rs 9,500 per quintal on weak demand from paint industries.

Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,600, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,800-1,900, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,300, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,295-1,340, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,345-1,445, Sesame mill delivery Rs 10,200, Soybean Refined mill delivery (Indore) Rs 7,700, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 7,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 5,500, Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) Rs 7,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,650, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 6,700 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 3,100-3,150.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,500, Castor Rs 7,200-7,300, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
