Groundnut oil spurted in an otherwise listless Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following heavy demand from stockists and retailers on the back of ensuing festivities.
While, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all ended stable in the absence of any large scale buying activities.
In the edible section, groundnut oil jumped Rs 40 per 10 kg to Rs 1,240 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,200. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 590 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseeds ended unaltered at Rs 3,775 (per 100 kg), Rs 785 (per 10 kg) and Rs 1,050 (per 10 kg), respectively.
