In the edible section, groundnut oil shot up by Rs 16.25 per 10 kg to Rs 1,171.25 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,155. Refined palmolein slightly up by 25 paise per 10 kg to Rs 511.25 from Rs 511.
Turning to non-edible segment, castor seeds bold inched up by a rupee per 100 kg to Rs 3,476 from previous close of Rs 3,475 and castor oil commercial up by 25 paise per 10 kg to Rs 725.25 from Rs 725. Linseed oil moved down by Rs 4.75 per 10 kg to Rs 810.25 from Rs 815 yesterday.
Moving to futures, castor seed December contract resumed higher at Rs 3,700 and gained further to Rs 3,715 before settling at Rs 3,688 as compared to Rs 3,667 previously, showing a modest gain of Rs 21 per tonne.
