Groundnut oil prices spurted at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on good demand from stockist and retailers.
While, refined palmolein dropped following reduced offtake from retailers.
Linseed oil also declined on lack of buying support from paint and allied industries.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial firm up further owing to sustained demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil shot-up by Rs 15 per 10kg to Rs 775 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 760, however, refined palmolein dipped by Rs 8 per 10kg to Rs 600 from Rs 608.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 10 per 100kg to Rs 4,000 from Rs 3,990 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 830 from Rs 828. However, linseeds oil fell by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 770 as against Rs 775 previously.
