In thin trade, groundnut oil traded lower by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to sluggish demand from millers and retailers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said besides sluggish demand, adequate stocks following higher supplies from producing regions mainly put pressure on groundnut oil prices.
