Groundnut oil up on retailers demand

Groundnut mill delivery oil rose by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered demand from retailers.

Traders said increased demand from retailers mainly led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil edged higher by Rs 50 to Rs 7,250 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,250-1,300, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,450, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,100-1,150, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,250, sesame mill delivery 8,800 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,800, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,500, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,450, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,050, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,000, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,800 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,740.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,450-9,550, Neem 5,300-5,400.
