Prices of groundnut and palmolein oil drifted lower by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand.
Castor oil in the non-edible section, also declined on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in groundnut and palmolein oil prices.

Palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,550 and Rs 5,600 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible oils, castor moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 9,300-9,400 per quintal.

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800- 1,000.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,800-1,900, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,950, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,295, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,400, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 8,100, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,450, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,050, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 6,550, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,600 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,050-2,100.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,300, Castor Rs 9,300-9,400, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
