Prices of groundnut and palmolein oil drifted lower by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand.
Castor oil in the non-edible section, also declined on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in groundnut and palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 100 to Rs 9,900 per quintal. Groundnut solvent refined followed suit and traded lower by Rs 25 to Rs 1,800-1,900 per tin.
Palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,550 and Rs 5,600 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible oils, castor moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 9,300-9,400 per quintal.

Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,300, Castor Rs 9,300-9,400, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
