Prices of groundnut and soyabean oils fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today following subdued demand from retailers coupled with sufficient stocks position.

However, non-edible oils continued to move in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels.

Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in groundnut and soyabean oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 8,850 per quintal.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also lacked necessary buying support and lost Rs 50 each at Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,200 per quintal, respectively.
