Groundnutoil rise on renewed demand

Refined palmolein also moved up on fresh retail buying on the back of higher Malaysian cues.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial declined due to lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In futures, castorseeds futures fell on poor export inquiries.

In the edible section, Groundnutoil climbed by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 1,290 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,285. Refined palmolein edged up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 500 from Rs 498.

Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold dropped by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,525 from Rs 3,550 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 735 as compared to Rs 740 previously. Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 810 per 10kg.

 

Turning to futures, castorseed March contract resumed higher at Rs 3,930 and later moved down to finish at Rs 3,863 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,928, a net loss of Rs 65 per tonne.
