While, refined palmolein and linseedoil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased owing to reduced demand from shippers and soap manufacturing units.
In futures trade, castorseeds eased further on subdued export enquiries.
In the edible section, groundnutoil surged by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 1,185 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,170. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 622 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold declined Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,200 from overnight close of Rs 3,225 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 670 from 675. Linseedoil were unaltered at Rs 770 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,165, but later advanced to 3,205 before dropping to end at Rs 3,164 as compared to Rs 3,172 previously, showing a modest loss of Rs 8 per tonne.
